If the dog is insecure, why are you filming while dealing with the dog? You could work with the dog and do a Voiceover later, but being distracted by a camera doesn’t seem like the best way to build a relationship with a dog.

Blue heelers absolutely require special humans. I recommend training your blue heeler with voice and hand commands. My blue heeler was my hero. Trust me...they keep the weirdos away!!

So, Heelers are known for Aggression and Protecting, Herding can be a mix of both Attributes and taken as "Attacking". That being said, why do you people buy them and try to turn them into something they are not? Just because you like the look of them? Seems a little selfish, no? I have a Pack of 5 Blue Heelers, they work. They Protect my House and Property. I do no Scold them for being EXACTLY what they are bred to be. They are amazing pets, one of a kind. I wouldn't own another dog breed but people need to know what they are buying. Heelers are VERY underrated and misunderstood I think. They are not a House/Apartment Dog or a Dog Park Breed. If you train them to just be docile and inactive all the time you are essentially breaking their spirit and instinct. Pretty sad to see really, not fair to them.

Easy In the middle of nowhere with no distractions. Try walking along a popular walking trail, with people and dogs , I would never use a shock collar, I do use a harness with three clasps, and two leads, one attached at the front of her chest, and the other on her back… she tries so hard to please, I thought I would get a longer lead, so she can sniff to her heart’s content, and practice coming to heel every now and then, getting a treat when she obeys … whippets are highly prey driven, but with patience and gentleness, my beloved whippet, lets magpies come close, without chasing them, now that’s a very good girl, training is ongoing as she is only 2 .

Leave the heelers to the Aussies. Absolutely beautiful animals. Mine is a gem. Lovely dog.

Hi how can I get my dog training

My father used to say if you dint train a bluey they will definately train you. Iv had several blueys and kelpies in my life but our latest we got after retiring, we sold our acerage and moved into the dreaded suburbs right at the start of covid. We took her for long walks and eventually the dig park at 4 months old. All dogs ,all shapes and breeds. The dominate breed being 3 huskies, biggest naggers under the sun. Every time they came into the oark they would sound off giving instructions to every other dog. Most would roll over and submit. Not our little brat, she nagged right back and wouldnt give up. In the end the three of them became more vocal and physical. No problem , our brat just became more vocal and won the nagging contest. Imagine ,3 big huskies and a 4 month old cattle dog ruled the park, until the council closed it due to covid. Everyone agreed funiest thing we ever saw. Funniest thing

Great vid! My Heeler Bella will turn 6 on Saturday. She’s my second Cattle Dog and I’d never have anything else. She’s the most affectionate dog in the world with people she knows. But if she doesn’t know you and she thinks you might be a danger to her space or especially her people , she’ll take your face off! I like that about her.😊👍 I’m a new subscriber.

Yep i have a 9 month old male blue heeler. Intact male. He is my sidekick and shadow. And he will listen to my mom and dad. But anyone else comes near him when he is on a leash. He goes full apeshit and lunges amd drools amd tries as hard as he can to escape the harness and bite whoever he is upset at. I mistakingly took him to tractor supply and the cashier approached to ring my stuff up on cart. And whem she got close. He went ballistic. Amd it took all my power to restrain a 45 lb pissed off dog.

Hi I have a blue Heeler that’s 1.5 years old and he just recently went from showing fear towards unknown dogs and people to being super aggressive. My parents have a puppy that’s about 5 lbs and tonight he kept trying to attack the puppy unprovoked. I tried to get between him and the puppy to protect the puppy and he bit my hand. I don’t think it was really to bite me, but more that i got in his way. I know his behavior is going to get worse if it’s not corrected, but I don’t know what to do. What would you recommend?

I adopted a heeler mix from the SPCA and he refuses to let the vet touch him. He has to be heavily sedated just for a shot. Any suggestions? I do have to watch him around strangers but I would not consider him aggressive but more protective.

I load mine bird, buck slug, 45 lc and then the two 35 and 1 41 cal shell. I'm a peaceful person so they got the choice to go home after the bird shot or the morgue if they want more.
